The JDK Group is seeking a bright, enthusiastic, logistics-minded individual to join our team as a Scheduling & Logistics Intern for all operations staffing needs
Internship Summary: Assist the Scheduling & Logistics Director (SLD) in efficiently and effectively scheduling and planning weekly events & daily operations
We are only accepting a few candidates for spring/summer 2016 and require a minimum of 24 hours a week to participate in the internship program. Internships can be done for college credit if coordinated as such by the student/advisor.
Depending on experience and skill gained, candidates have the chance to pursue a possible paid internship opportunity after the initial program.
Assist the Scheduling & Logistics Director (SLD) ensuring that all departments are staffed with qualified personnel
Support the SLD with the logistics schedule & truck routing
Assist the SLD with managing payroll numbers hitting targeted labor percentages
Partner & coordinate with the Talent & Engagement Coach to identify staffing requirements
Assist the SLD and Director of Operations with day-to-day operations
Work with the Talent & Engagement Coach in fostering a work environment that enhance The JDK Group’s company culture
Desired Skills & Experience
Exceptional communication skills, detail oriented and organized
Able to handle fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions
Need to be team oriented but able to work individually much of the time as well
Typical candidate would be pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Project Management or Supply Chain Management
Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
