Job Summary:

The BARBACK  is responsible for setting up and ensuring the smooth operation of our bar throughout their assigned shift. This is an all encompassing role that demands attention, speed, flexibility, and a versatile skill set. Most of all it requires a strong work ethic, humility, and the desire to be of service. Changing kegs, slicing garnishes, wiping the services wells this is a hands on position that will build the experience and skills needed to one day be a bartender.

Essential Functions: Must be willing and able to:

Stock and clean the bar prior to service

Restock bar and back up coolers with liquor, wine, glassware, beer, ice, water, garnishes and other items as needed.

Assist bartender with the preparation of mixers, fresh juices, and the production of garnishes

Changes beer kegs and stock all coolers

Keep bar area clean and free of debris

Accountabilities: Must be willing and able to:

Be an active team player

Follow supervisor’s instructions

Perform under more than average stressful conditions

Make appropriate judgment calls under stressful condition

Maintain clean and orderly work area throughout shift and leave it ready for the following shift

Acquire and wear appropriate uniform as prescribed in the training manual

Maintain and clean uniform

Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the established image of the restaurant

Read and be accountable for the information in the Echo and Rig employee handbook

Qualifications Standards:

Prefer One Year of previous experience in a fast paced bar environment
Must Be 21 years or older

Must be willing and able to:

Learn and effectively practice The 7 Intents Service Model 

Understand all menu items and effectively advise guests with allergies and food preferences of possible modifications

Think critically provide solutions for guests

Collaborate and contribute to a diverse service team.

Communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication

Handle multiple priorities and tasks while under pressure. 

Job Qualifications 

Basic knowledge of cocktails, spirits and wine 

Ability to take direction.

Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
