Our nonprofit is searching for a skilled, reliable, long-term secretary. This is an excellent opportunity to join a passionate organization whose focus is helping their community. You will be expected to mirror the positive, respectful demeanor of the office. You will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks.
Support: You will support the organization in any and all duties. You must have strong listening and communication skills, and you will be expected to follow through with verbal and written instructions. The ability to understand instructions with little or no follow up will be necessary.
Many Hats: Position requires strong problem-solving skills with meticulous multi-tasking abilities, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to follow through on tasks in a timely manner. You will have many tasks to complete, and there will often be interruptions. Must be able to maintain a stress-free attitude while handling interruption, and flow between tasks. In handling the work, you must be meticulous and organized. At times you will also need run errands for the Director, as well as perform general office maintenance.
Text/Data/Communications: Position requires strong writing and proofing skills. You will be expected to produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics. Computer Skills: Writing emails, transcribing notes, faxing, copying, creating spreadsheets, and printing documents figure heavily in the position.
Scheduling & Travel: Scheduling meetings, arranging travel plans, billing, etc. will all require you to have strong organizational skills. Maintaining Director's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel logistics.
Privacy: You must maintain the organization's confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. Our clients are protected by HIPAA, so discretion and privacy is professionally and legally imperative.
Punctual & Closes the Gaps: Completes projects by deadlines and follows up on results.
Prostate Cancer Knowledge: You must maintain a professional prostate cancer knowledge by reviewing reliable publications and taking notes in meetings.
