Job Summary:

The SERVER  is responsible for guiding guests through their food and beverage experiences, in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to the comfort of the guest, providing an atmosphere where guest feel welcome, comfortable, and important. 

Essential Functions: Must be willing and able to:

Ensure proper preparation of dining room 

Greet all guests by last name and offer an appropriate introduction to restaurant and offerings

Anticipate guests’ needs and promptly respond to any requests 

Explain food and beverage offerings with an “assistant shopper” mindset 

Obtain and communicate guests’ orders

Accurately input all items into the POS 

Monitor guests comfort during their experience 

Communicate with support staff, and management regarding the status of table and the pace of meal 

Assist other members of service team whenever possible

Accountabilities: Must be willing and able to:

Be an active team player

Follow supervisor’s instructions

Perform under more than average stressful conditions

Make appropriate judgment calls under stressful condition

Maintain clean and orderly work area throughout shift and leave it ready for the following shift

Acquire and wear appropriate uniform as prescribed in the training manual

Maintain and clean uniform

Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the established image of the restaurant

Read and be accountable for the information in the Echo and Rig employee handbook

Qualifications Standards:

One year of previous full service restaurant experience

Upscale or luxury customer service/ food and beverage experience desirable

Must be willing and able to:

Learn and effectively practice The 7 Intents Service Model 

Understand all menu items and effectively advise guests with allergies and food preferences of possible modifications

Think critically provide solutions for guests

Collaborate and contribute to a diverse service team.

Communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication

Handle multiple priorities and tasks while under pressure.

Envisioned by acclaimed chef and restaurateur Sam Marvin (creator of the much-celebrated Los Angeles restaurant Bottega Louie), Echo & Rig has reimagined the modern steakhouse and created a new and exciting dining experience. 

Echo & Rig’s flagship restaurant in Las Vegas launched in 2013 and quickly earned numerous accolades. Recent awards include: Las Vegas’ Restaurant Bar of the Year in 2016 and Best off Strip Restaurant of 2017 by the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association.
