Overview: 

  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, particularly IT
  • Lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing collateral
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
  • Oversee client pitches and proposals
  • Oversee profitability, deliverables, timelines and budgets
  • Meet with clients or upper management to explain campaign strategies and solutions
  • Review work, troubleshoot and provide feedback to creative teams
  • Remain actively involved in hiring and training creative staff
  • Manage and cultivate the career development of staff members, including designers, art directors, copywriters, photographers and web developers


The Creative Director is responsible for overseeing the graphics department and leading the team in Marketing Creative Efforts.

Job Description:
• Manages and executes multiple projects from concept through completion across all venues.
• Manages the graphic design work flow and processes. Formulates graphic list and create schedule of assigned projects for each day with specific goals to ensure timelines are met.
• Responsible for all ad material graphics including magazine ad’s, billboards, fliers, newsletter/email blasts, videos, invites, step and repeat boards, rack cards, lollipops, hotel marquee, taxi tops, menus, sales kits, etc.
• Creates complex digital files from “scratch” for a variety of media, in print, and web.
• Creates or edits images and graphics for website use.
• Creates templates of approved website layout.
• Codes website using HTML.
• Creates an efficient traffic system that tracks edits and production status.
• Improves existing filing and naming convention system.
• Provides quality control over concepts and projects.
• Manages advertising due dates.
• Works efficiently and quickly from a creative standpoint to meet deadlines.
• Responsible for proofing work for grammar mistakes, inaccuracies, date reconciliation.
• Demonstrates ability to anticipate and solve creative problems and production timeline issues.
• Leads creative sessions for new projects and conceptualize new admats for artists and events.
• Works with the marketing team to develop concepts and present to management based on new events and marketing concepts/promotions.
• Stays current in design trends and advertising styles.
• Generates high quality comps for presentation or review.
• Prioritizes a high-volume workload and follow-up on jobs.
• Utilizes production knowledge to create clean and accurate files.
• Creates/edits/researches images and graphics for use in marketing collateral.
• Participates in brainstorming sessions.
• Stays current in design trends and advertising styles.
• Works efficiently and quickly from a creative standpoint to meet deadlines.
• Utilizes production knowledge to create clean and accurate files.
Experience/Skills:
• Prior Management/Leadership Experience.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
• Detail oriented.
