Barback

The Arthur J Manhattan Beach, CA
  • $11.00 Hourly
    + Tips
  • Part Time / Full Time
  • Employer Fairly Likely to Respond

Chef David LeFevre has carved a niche in Manhattan Beach with eclectic, chef driven restaurants focusing on soulful food, engaging service, hand crafted cocktails and boutique wine selections. After opening Manhattan Beach Post in April 2011 and Fishing With Dynamite in April 2013, we are looking to recruit skilled, highly passionate, experienced and motivated Barbacks for our newly opened concept: The Arthur J.

A qualified Barback Candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year bar experience in a high volume upscale casual environment. We expect this position to engage with the Guest with the same ease and comfort level as our bartenders. An insatiable appetite for learning and attention to detail is required. This candidate will also possess strong organizational/multitasking skills, can SERIOUSLY move with a sense of urgency, and must be willing to do the hardcore blue collar stuff that every bar needs to get done to operate. This is an awesome opportunity for someone who wants to learn to mix a perfect sazerac, work with farmer’s market fruits/vegetables and earn an excellent foundation of bar skills. There are opportunities for the right individual who can earn their keep! Candidates for this position will possess humility, respect and integrity.

A flexible dinner time availability is required. Most of all we are looking for individuals passionate about hospitality and relationship building. If aspire to be a barmen and someone who learns something new about the bar/menu on every shift and is driven to always do better, than you’re exactly what we’re looking for.
