Sugarbird Sweets is searching for passionate, full-time bakery production manager who can join our growing team!
You'll oversee the full production of our baked goods, specializing in scones, shortbread and afternoon tea centric pastries for retail (online), catering, wholesale partners and farmer's market locations.
You will be in charge of the production schedules, ordering, organizing our entire bakery line-up, staffing and execute the weekly production and able to jump in to fill the catering orders and scoop and bake off scones when you need to for the week.
The position requires you to be available 5-6 days a wk
You must have the following credentials:
- Have experience working in a bakery or a pastry position in a restaurant for at least 5 years. (any less, I won't read your resume)
- Fully execute pastry recipes for mass production and understand the in's and out's of baking with measurements, and precision for outputting consistent products and have the foresight to develop new flavors combinatins and concepts.
- Must enjoy working with others, prompt, swift ability to overcome challenges with grace, reliability and the desire to learn.
- You need to be ok to lift 50# bags of flour into our bins, help with washing dishes, organize, clean up and not afraid to work with the oven.
- You need to have knife skills, (we won't be asking you to make sashimi) and slicers. You'll need expereince working with cutting fruits and vegetables for crudites, blondies and brownies with some OCD qualities.

Mostly 5-6 days a week, M-F, 6a-2:30p with occasional weekends for catering.
This is a Non-Expemt position as a salaried bi-monthly position.

Sugarbird Sweets is an artisanal bakery inside the One Wilshire building in downtown Los Angeles. Serving specialty teas and coffees with addictive yet rustic variety of scones and baked goods, breakfast and lunch items.
We started at the farmer's markets 9 years ago and people love our teas and scones and now we expanded into scaling the business into wholesale.
