POSITION

Bottega Louie is looking for a Patisserie Sales Associate who has a passion for selling gourmet pastries and providing our guest a luxury experience at an affordable price. As a Patisserie Sales Associate, you will provide outstanding guest experiences and meet sales targets. You will have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of our products and anticipating the needs of our guests.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION & SALES

  • Provide the guest with personal, gracious, and professional service, catering to their individual wants and needs
  • Provide the guest with thorough knowledge of the merchandise offered for sale in the pastry case and packaged market products
  • Translate this knowledge into creative selling techniques to promote profitability
  • Greet customers and ensure that all customers are completely satisfied
  • Determine customer needs and suggest additional merchandise to meet their needs
  • Provide attentive service and establish an immediate rapport to our guests in the Patisserie
  • Maintain daily awareness of merchandise in stock
  • Promptly follow up on all special orders and special service request
  • Professionally handle difficult customer situations and immediately involve or notify management when needed

OPERATIONS

  • Accurately describe all coffee and pastry items and upsell to guests. This includes focusing on details with a warm friendly, clear and highly professional style
  • Properly handle cash and maintain the register, this includes accurately entering tips, placing orders, and keeping a balanced drawer
  • Knowledge of food allergens in our products
  • Keep up to date on seasonal items in the Patisserie
  • Receive and fulfill guest’s orders on all Patisserie items
  • Create all of Bottega Louie coffees and teas for the market and café and abiding by Bottega Louie recipe standards, sanitation standards and maintaining speed of service
  • Keeps a clean, well-stocked and organized work station
  • Receive all Patisserie products and restock throughout the shift
  • Properly store and rotate macarons
  • Become certified through all Bottega Louie Patisserie Positions (Barista, Product Knowledge and Sales)

TEAMWORK

  • Present a positive attitude toward merchandise, company and other fellow employees
  • Work closely with staff to create a steady flow of service
  • Due to the nature of the business and the fluctuating demands, you may be asked to help in other areas of the Patisserie and may have to perform other duties as required or assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including talking, standing, walking, bending and squatting

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have at least two (2) years of experience in a similar position, ideally in high volume coffee bars or markets
  • 1+ years of sales experience
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, focused and able to use own initiative
