Line Cook - Full-time position available. Minimum 3 years experience in a fine dining restaurant or hotel.
Line Cook Duties and Responsibilities:
AM and PM Schedules, weekends and holidays.
Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other
Assumes 100% responsibility for quality.
Knows and complies consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, work schedules, policies and procedures.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saute burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment. Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
Opens and closes the kitchen properly and follows the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening and closing the kitchen.
Qualifications: for Line Cook
Must be able to communicate with chef, managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Must be able to follow printed recipes and plate specifications
Must maintain personal hygiene
