This position assist and support the Director of Human Resources and Accounting and hotel management with handling Human Resources functions. * This position will also assist with accounting-related functions as needed.
A successful HR Coordinator will monitor and assist managers/supervisors with the recruiting and hiring processes. Maintain applicant flow, orientation and transfer request logs. Create and maintain accurate new hire and personnel data in our Human Resources Information Systems. Set up and follow through on a succesful onboarding program. Conduct orientation and initial training of new employees. Train new hires on Human Resources processes, programs, policies, information systems, among others. Coordinates HR relation activities such as luncheons, property celebrations, fun training, etc. Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards. Support processing and maintenance of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures, as necessary. Serve as Human Resources liaison and participate on project teams. May participate in Make a Difference and Safety Committees. Assist with benefit reconciliations, open enrollment, employee opinion survey, performance reviews, counseling, etc. Assist with any other tasks and duties related to HR or any other function/department of the hotel as assigned by Director of Human Resources and Accounting or General Manager.
3+ years in Human Resources and general accounting preferred. At least 2 years in Human Resources and 1 year in Accounting required. Preference will be given to: Bilingual in Spanish candidates. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY PLEASE.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds with or without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by managers and supervisors.
