A leading Los Angeles-based Educational Consultant is seeking a highly qualified Reading Specialist to work as an independent contractor in Glendale. The Reading Specialist must have experience implementing remedial reading programs. Training in Lindamood-Bell, Orton Gillingham or other leading evidence-based reading instruction programs preferred. In addition, the candidate must have experience working with teens with ASD. This is a part-time position. Candidate will work as an independent contractor on an hourly basis at the student’s home, school, or at one of our Learning Centers. The Reading Specialist must be available during school hours.
- Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Educational Therapy, or related field
- Experience working with children with language-based learning disabilities
- Knowledge of a leading, evidence-based reading instruction program
- Must possess or have access to instructional materials
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be willing to work as an independent contractor
- Must have reliable transportation
