HOORAY FOR PIZZA AND BEER! The Bell Marker is a big, beautiful brew pub in Old Town San Diego, operated by Southern's California's most exciting craft brewing company. We're looking for experienced  kitchen staff with a great personality, strong work ethic, and passion to join our team. Must be available to work a variety of days and shifts. Pizza making experience is a plus! 

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare and produce consistent, delicious food in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out on time and quality is top notch
  • Uphold safety and sanitation standards
  • Delight our customers

Requirements:

  • Restaurant kitchen experience, including line and/or prep cooking - minimum 2 years or equivalent training
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Flexible schedule/open availability
  • Able to follow written recipes and oral instructions accurately and consistently
  • Able to work six to eight hour shifts in a kitchen, where conditions are warm and sometimes wet, with frequent twisting, bending, pushing, and pulling. Occasional bending, crouching, and overhead lifting, with weights up to 25 pounds.

License/Qualifications:

  • CA Food Handler's Card

At The Bell Marker, we want to offer  an experience that everyone and anyone can enjoy. We operate a 15 barrel brewhouse that helps fill our 28 taps with Bell Marker beers. We also feature guest beers and creative cocktails. We have great food for meat eaters, and we also pride ourselves on our vegan-friendly menu (even pizza!) and on being a great spot for locals and visitors alike.
