The DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR will be responsible for supporting the Mendocino Farms development team which oversees the construction and delivery of new restaurants and facilities, as well as the remodeling of existing facilities. This role will be located at Mendocino Farms Corporate Office (Base Camp) located in Studio City, California.

Position Overview 

  • Collaborate and support the Mendocino Farms in-house development team to:
    • Prepare and update real-estate approval packages, leasing and finance documents
    • Create new standard tools and processes
    • Create a data-base of benchmark costs
    • Collect and compile completion and turn-over packages from contractors and vendors
    • Prepare close-out and reconciliation packages for landlords and finance
    • Manage team communication and on-line tools
  • Collaborate and support the in-house development team to track, report and manage:
    • Project budgets, costs and capital expenditures
    • Invoicing and payments to consultants, vendors and suppliers
    • Manage licensing and permit tracking
    • Master and individual project schedules
    • Meeting project milestones and deadlines
    • Obtaining entitlement and permit approvals
  • Collaborate with internal multi-disciplinary teams to report and update on:
    • New store opening and turn-over schedules with operations
    • Marketing collateral and specific project needs
    • IT and technology project specific needs
    • Setting up utility and services accounts
    • Obtaining business licenses
    • Obtaining ABC licenses
    • Supporting facilities and maintenance projects 
  • Collaborate with external consultants, vendors and supplier to:
    • Track, manage and report on the procurement of Owner provided items
    • Develop and manage master service agreements
    • Forecast workload and supply chain requirements

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Focus on Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field is helpful but not required​) ​
  • Helpful but not required
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings is
    • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, including managing multiple restaurant projects simultaneously
