The daytime technician performs all tasks and duties related to the clinical, diagnostic, analytical and therapeutic interactions with patients being tested and/or treated for sleep disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing Home Sleep Testing Equipment in a group setting
  • Performing Home Sleep Testing Downloads
  • Performing DME APAP set-ups
  • Performing DME Supply distribution
  • Completing patient DME Compliance reports
  • Maintains the equipment in optimal condition, obtaining support when necessary
  • Maintaining an adequate inventory of devices and associated equipment
  • Sell patients on the value of treating sleep disorders; explain the medical procedure and answer technical and logistical questions
  • Collect payment or make payment arrangements
  • Communicate with technical staff to facilitate completion of scheduled services and address issues with facilities and equipment

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience as in a sleep facility or hospital setting
  • RRT/CRT with RCP license or RPSGT with CA--MBOC license
  • Active CPR Card
  • Skilled in DME Sleep Therapy set ups
  • Detail-oriented, strong attention to detail, organized
  • Strong customer service experience (experience speaking with patients, payers and physician offices)
  • Must be familiar with compliance standards
  • Computer skills: Excel, Outlook, ability to learn new software/database
  • Understanding of medical terminology, medical insurances and physician office processes/protocol
  • Initiative and problem solving skills
  • Dependable team member, responsible employee, focused and attentive to the task at hand
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and life-long learner
