Line Cook Job Description

$14-$18/hr Depending on experience

We are located at 2720 Main Street in Santa Monica.

JUST COME BY FROM 9AM-12PM OR 3PM-5PM

This is an excellent opportunity if you aren’t a flake. If you show up on time, work hard, work clean and keep putting up beautiful plates, you’ll go far quickly.

Line Cooks need to:
- Masters all tasks of basic preparation 

- Execute recipes well. 

-Know how to set up the taco and salad lines. Prepares all dishes such as: Burgers, Sandwiches, Stew, Brunch items, Salads and Desserts. QUICKLY.

- Besides the basic preparation, he/she is also in charge of the preparation and development of recipes that are made daily in our kitchen such as rice, beans, stewed vegetables, meats, soups, dressings and some special recipes. 

- Supports the preparation of catering department orders following the instructions of the head chef.

-Knows and dominates the process and rules of receiving orders and storage of products based on the principle of rotation of product, properly record temperatures and meets the regulation of food handling according to the laws and specifications of the Department of Health from the State of California.

Attitude and effort are worth more than experience, but it would rock if you have:

  • -Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
    - Professional knowledge of knife handling.
    - Preferred non-expired food handling license. We will provide training and the test if not.
    - Maintains the sanitation and organization of cooking and serving to health and safety standards.
    - Must be able to work in a team environment and take instructions well.

We've been open for over 20 years and many employees have been with us for over 10. Some more than 20. That should say something...
