The Distribution Coordinator VI provides customer support to our distribution customers as well as internal customers. Ensure their shipments are shipped accurately and in a timely manner. Provide requested information directly to the customer as requested. Provide administrative support for Logistics Department. Responsible for initiating and processing all Logistics related documents. Will act as an alternate for Logistics Distribution Coordinator III. Review, prepare & submit shipping requests & documentation to Import/Export and Customs House Brokers. Will Communicate with Import/Export, Shipping department, Brokers and internal customers to assist with facilitating shipments to and from US and Mexico.
Ensuring all daily shipments are pulled and shipped accurately and in a timely manner. Book shipments in the correct time frames to ensure that the shipments are picked up on time. Order supplies as needed and submit for approval. Prepare all shipping documentation, packing lists & invoices. Provide necessary documentation to the customer as needed.
Conduct daily cycle counts. Assist with investigations as requested by the supervisor.
Reply to customers emails directly in a timely manner.
Complete end of day report for on time shipments.
Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in temperatures ranging from 32° to 100° Fahrenheit.
Other duties established by supervisor or company.
For some positions as a Distribution Coordinator there will be the below Logistic department tasks that must be completed daily before assisting with the distribution daily shipments
Prepare, review, submit, and track documentation for PSSs, SOP’s, RMS’s, EOP’s, in the Smart Solve system from the beginning until the completion of the document for the Logistics Department.
Prepare, Screen and track shipments.
Create packing list for all raw material shipping to LS.
Update and maintain data in Logistics Shipping Report on Excel file.
Make sure all the documentation input in Logistics Report is accurate and is reported daily. Revise and coordinate documentation provided by the requestor. Make sure GMP is followed. Make sure PO’s and 286’s and LOO’s are correctly completed by the requestor.
Become familiar with the product shipping to Tecate.
Ensure all final documents created for Tecate shipments are completed accurately.
Responsible for updating daily the Transportation Report Log.
Coordinate document changes for Logistics Department.
Office tasks: copying, filing.
Maintain department files.
Cross train with Logistics Distribution Coordinator III
Must be familiar with all M2M processes including shipping, Job Orders, BOM’s, Routers, and PO’s.
Assist with the Distribution Center tasks as time permits.
Requires 1-3 years’ experience in the area of shipping/logistics.
Bilingual in English and Spanish speaking, reading and writing
High school diploma.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel & Outlook experience required
Organizational and communications skills required
2 years general Import/Export field required
Oral and written communication skills.
General personal computer knowledge.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Working knowledge of the metric system.
Attention to detail.
Basic understanding of import/export process for international cargo through government formalities
Must be able to demonstrate highly accurate data entry skills
Must become familiar with and learn how to use Made 2 Manage System
Must be able to travel to and from Mexico and the US at least monthly.

Most tasks are carried on indoors (temperature and relative humidity fluctuation are expected).
Exposure to outdoor conditions may be necessary while preparing product for export and/or shipment for distribution customers.
Use of personnel protective equipment is a must in specific areas.
