Job Type: Hourly, plus tips

Location: West Hollywood, CA

Bartender is friendly and outgoing and is able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.


  • Reliable and dependable transportation
  • Experience and training as a craft bartender is required
  • Thorough knowledge of classic cocktails, preparation methods, glassware, and bar equipment required
  • Strong service focus with desire to meet all guests expectations and needs
  • Self motivated, organized, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proactivity is a key, must posses strong observational skills
  • Ability to take direction, multitask and work well in a team environment.

  • Basic POS and cash handling skills

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Set up bar and service stations, and retrieve liquor based on requisition
  • Greet and engage guests, providing service in bar/lounge areas
  • Provide knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and energetic service at all times
  • Prepare cocktails and other beverages to specification, honoring guests requests
  • Prepare cocktails and other beverages for servers in bar/lounge/restaurant areas
  • Satisfying patron requests in a timely manner
  • Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations
  • Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting and engaging patrons
  • Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
  • Maintain positive and respectful team dynamic with servers, barbacks, kitchen, etc
  • Keeping a well stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
  • Maintain clean, organized and sanitized work station
  • Organize bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
  • Slicing, pitting, and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks
  • Manage bar and server checks in POS, ensure concise transactions and data input
  • Balance cash and account for all transactions
  • Perform opening and side duties as assigned
  • Full knowledge of food menu items and beverage menu including ingredients, source, preparation, and execution
  • Keep management aware of any guest issue or complaint
  • Assist with room set up and take down including tables, chairs, equipment, etc

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, grasping, writing, walking, climbing, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
