The OPERATIONS MANAGER - NEW STORE OPENINGS provides leadership and direction to the New Store Opening (NSO) Ops Team. This position plays a key role in the training and development of all NSO specific training programs and procedures.


  • Oversees the NSO hospitality trainers and the overall NSO hospitality training program
  • Trains and develops the Management Team on all NSO specific training programs and procedures
  • Oversees the selection process for the NSO trainers
  • Completes all assigned leadership tasks from the NSO Task List
  • Leads the NSO account setup including setting up the accounts, setting pars, and placing initial orders
  • Directs and supports Managers on all NSO food orders
  • Creates new NSO training material and tools
  • Communicates all leadership decisions to the Managers and NSO trainers
  • Creates and improves NSO training processes and procedures
  • Oversees NSO trainers – including but not limited to schedules, managing hours, and meal and rest breaks
  • Ensures that the Manager and NSO trainers are maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Delegates leadership responsibilities for NSO trainer development
  • Delegates and oversees all responsibilities for NSO set up
  • Communicates with all levels of leadership within the organization
  • Conducts MIT Validations and Trainer Certifications at existing restaurants
  • Works with Director of Operations, VP of Operations and Chief Operations Officer to help improve training and operations systems in existing restaurants


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong ability to effectively plan, demonstrate organization skills, and multitask
  • Knowledge of computer programs (word, excel, email, etc.)
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends, especially during openings
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time
  • Must demonstrate a passion for training and developing others


  • Frequent walking and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
  • Occasionally access high storage shelving with the use of step ladder
  • Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive tasks
  • Prepare food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Basic understanding of standard kitchen equipment safety and sanitation
  • The ability to work in an environment around smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold
