No experience needed for Host Positions. Minimum 1 year full service serving experience required for serving positions. All servers must be LEAD certified by the Department of Alcohol & Beverage Control prior to picking up serving shifts.

Host Position Summary:

We are looking for motivated, energetic and friendly people with a background in customer service and a passion for working in the restaurant industry. Applicant must be able to multi-task and work well with others. Part-time and Full-time positions available.

Host & Expo Job Duties include but are not limited to:

* Great Smile and Positive Attitude
* Ability to multi-task with priorities and detail oriented
* Excellent Customer Service
* Ability to carry food trays, drink trays and other items for weights of up to 50 lbs
* Understands the importance of cleanliness & health safety
* Loves to learn how to be a better team member every shift
* Responsible Cash Handling Management
* Busing Tables and upholding a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards in the restaurant
* Must have OPEN Availability and a willingness to work weekends, Holidays, Birthdays, early mornings, late nights and in a faced paced environment
* Part Time Positions also available
* Must be trustworthy, detail oriented and friendly
* Loves to work with others and prides themselves on service and hospitality
* Ability to follow managerial direction                                                  *Weekend availability is preferred                                                          * Knowledge of Social Media and Sports is a plus but not required

At Cali Comfort BBQ in the heart of Spring Valley, we barbecue all of our meats in our Ole Hickory Smoker with select cooking woods after they have been seasoned with our specialty Cali Dry Rub.  Passionate about remaining true to barbecue tradition, we have developed our menus for our Low -N- Slow Cali BBQ Restaurant and Catering Events to offer only the highest quality barbecue in San Diego.  Since we smoke the traditional way, “low-n-slow” there are times that we run out due to increased cravings for great tasting barbecue. We know that those of you who understand the true art of barbecue realize that once we are out, we are out.  We cannot smoke up another batch of great tasting BBQ until the next day.  A general rule of thumb for our smoked meats are as follows:

  • Pulled Pork – 14 Hours
  • Brisket – 13 Hours
  • Pork Ribs – 6 Hours
  • Chicken – 4 Hours
  • Tri-Tip – 2 Hours
