We are looking to add an energetic, passionate, motivated, and thoughtful Food and Beverage professional to our team. 

ArcLight Cinemas is seeking a passionate food and beverage professional who can develop and operationalize best-in-class practices to maximize daily food and beverage business results.   Developing on-site food and beverage Crew Members to accomplish financial and Guest experience objectives will be an integral requirement of the role – to be achieved within a work environment where Decurion’s axioms, purpose and values are present.

Performance Expectations and Accountabilities: 

  • Ensures that company philosophy and quality standards for food, beverage, and service are understood and adhered to by all Crew members.
    • Seeks opportunities to continually improve processes, service, and performance
    • Enforces company policies and procedures in accordance with company management operations guide and Crew member workbooks
    • Enforces safety and sanitation standards, security procedures, uniform policies, and cash handling procedures
    • Uses key result indicators and metrics to drive meaningful changes in behaviors and business results
  • Directs the hiring, training, ongoing development, and mentoring of Crew members.
    • Conducts reviews and counseling sessions of Crew members, including termination
    • Ensures that Crew member training program is followed
    • Promotes learning and skill improvement
    • Promotes leadership and team building
  • Responsible for overall floor supervision
    • Sets up shift reports, adjusts staffing levels as needed, and is present on the floor
    • Communicates necessary information to Crew members on a daily basis
    • Directs the daily activities of front of house Crew members
    • Provides operational support to restaurant
    • Works directly with head chef to identify and deploy opportunities to enhance Guest experience and business results
    • Leads by example

    • Provides leadership and empowers Crew members to make suggestions and solve problems
    • Maintains “Open Door Policy” by fostering open communication with Crew members

    • Promotes sales growth through sales training of Crew members
    • Develops and maintains incentive programs
    • Seeks opportunities to develop and foster positive Guest relations
    • Effectively controls labor, food, beverage, and supply costs
    • Organizes, purchases, and maintains inventory of assigned cost categories, such as supplies, beverage program
    • Responsible for maintaining costs at or below budgeted percentages
  • Ensures restaurant facility is clean and maintained to company standards
    • Conducts restaurant walk-throughs prior to opening and before dinner shift to ensure restaurant is ready for shift
    • Assigns and checks daily, weekly, and monthly side work
  • Assists general manager with record keeping and administrative duties
    • Supports with monitoring of sales, costs, and inventory, invoice approval, personnel records maintenance
    • Responsible for maintaining training workbooks, handouts, tests, and updating setup and sidework duties

Requirements - Education, Experience, Competencies:

  • One to two years of experience in a supervisory role in a full-service restaurant of similar concept preferred.
  • College degree in a related field, i.e., business, hospitality, tourism, or hotel and restaurant management, preferred.
  • ServSafe certification required.
  • Extensive wine, beer, and spirits knowledge a plus.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends
  • Demonstrates a proficiency in Microsoft office programs including: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience working with a best-in-class inventory management and POS systems (SAP knowledge a plus)
  • Professional appearance and presentation required.
