As the GM of our newest location, you will oversee the successful operations of Gracias Madre Newport Beach in all capacities, have a STRONG and longstanding network in Newport Beach & uphold and enforce all company policies and procedures.

Financial Management:

Budget with your Director of Operations
Responsible for creating and winning your monthly and quarterly sales and profitability goals
Research, pursue and delegate money making opportunities for Gracias Madre (i.e. special events, demo’s, etc.)
Oversee your store’s cash overages and shortages
Approve all payroll reports prior to submitting to Payroll Department
Prepare and execute banking (deposits, making change, etc.)
Conduct inventory and cash control procedures
Cash management; petty cash management
Responsible for Daily Sales Reports
Prepare and communicate weekly operational reports
Oversee any management or staff bonus distributions

Staff Management & Development (HR):

Supervise all Managers and staff employees
Communicate consistently with Human Resources
Employee staffing and dismissal as needed
Complete and process all employee write ups and disciplinary action
Maintain employee files and proper documentation in partnership with your Human Resources Advocate
Manage all scheduling ensuring the restuarant is staffed appropriately in order to be successful
Oversee training of all new staff members
Prepare and lead educational and inspiring staff meetings
Prepare and communicate employee performance reviews
Maintain updated training materials and literature in your restuarant. Report any work related injuries
Oversee all new hires and the successful completion of their paperwork


Commnicate consistently with your Regional Manager and/or Director of Operations
Upgrade and maintain structures and systems
Train and maintain staff in company culture
Handle any and all emergencies in a timely and professional manner
Resolve complaints of your staff, service, food and overall customer experience
Oversee product demos
Oversee your nventory
Adjust and meet pars for food
Ensure proper Safety training is upheld 
Monitor and maintain quality of food and beverage
Monitor and maintain quality of service, facility atmosphere and employee appearance
Oversee all order and fulfillment of supplies
Oversee all repairs and Maintenance
Be responsible for email and all company communications
Know and track your daily and monthly labor percentage
Oversee shift changes
Oversee and ensure the restaurant is safe for employees and customers at all times
Maintain all Department of Health regulations and requirements
Oversee food ordering with Kitchen Manager
Follow and uphold all company policies per employment handbook

ServSafe Food Handler Certificate is required
Outstanding Employee with a recommended minimum of 6 months’ experience.
Must have a clean driving record
