MAC'D is San Francisco's newest mac & cheese shop featuring custom-built macs, and we're opening up a second location on Polk St. in San Francisco. We fully believe that mac doesn't always have to come from a box or taste like what you ate in Grandma's kitchen. We feature a robust, build-your-own menu of high quality cheese sauces, pastas, mix-ins, toppings, and sides.

We're looking for an Executive Chef to take ownership and leadership of both kitchens at the Marina and Polk St. locations. The right candidate shares our values of making great experiences for our customers to eat the happiest entree in the world. We hope our Executive Chef will grow with us and we continue to scale our brand into more locations and customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Maintains back of the house operational excellence in both MAC'D locations

- Works with MAC'D management to create delicious new recipes, specials, and seasonal favorites

- Inventory and ordering for both locations

- Works with kitchen staff members to ensure timely and quality prep of ingredients

- Maintains food quality and execution of dishes

- Coordinates with kitchen staff members and general manager to execute on catering orders- Trains all new kitchen staff members

- Works shifts and is responsible for covering any kitchen staff shortages


- 5+ years as Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager

- Can work minimum 50 hours / week

- Can work variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

- Exceptional references

- Energetic and positive attitude

- High proficiency in team management and leadership communication

- Pride and ownership of the MAC'D product and experience


- $65k minimum salary, depending on experience

- Quarterly bonus equal to 5% of restaurant profits
