This is PM Closing shift position. 5 days. 2:30pm-9:30pm. Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service of the highest degree.

Aid and participate in food preparation for:

1) GROW DTLA’s Meat Counter, Service Deli, Grab & Go, Prepared Food, Made-To-Order Sandwiches.

-Set, Stock, Prep & Clean the Meat Case on a daily basis.

-Make deli salads, sides, catering orders as needed.

-Make sandwiches to order as needed.

-Ensure health and sanitation guidelines are being met by all other Kitchen Team Members. 

-Ensure kitchen is kept clean, tidy, stocked and is operating in accordance to all health and sanitation guidelines. 

-Follow recipes and Kitchen Operations Manual to ensure quality and consistency of product.
-Occasionally place meat orders.
-Foster good vendor relationships and delivery best-practices.
-Prep and assemble catering orders as detailed by the Deli Lead and/or Kitchen Lead.
-Lead by example and train new Team Members according to the Kitchen Operations Manual.

-Communicate honestly, openly, and constructively with all team members.


Requirements: 
-2-3 Years Cooking, Deli, or Meat Department experience in a professional/commercial kitchen or retail store (restaurant, catering, commissary).

-Outstanding customer service, communication skills, problem solving skills, and friendly attitude.
-Competent, if not exceptional, knife skills. 

-Basic knowledge of kitchen safety protocols.
- Experience working a fast paced sandwich table during peak times is a plus.
-Current Food Safety Certificate on file.
-Strong, considerate and constructive communicator. 
- An appreciation of store processes.

-Willingness to go beyond what's expected.
-Pride and ownership in your work.
-Ability to lift 50 lbs., multiple times throughout the course of a work day.
