The Doughroom is looking to fill a Head Chef position to help lead our kitchen team. Candidate must love all things pizza, pasta, and craft beer. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years management experience in a restaurant industry.  The ideal candidate has a culinary background with additional administrative experience including staff management, food costing, and vendor relations. Doughroom is a fun, fast-paced, collaborative, challenging environment and requires someone smart, level headed, and has strong communication and multitasking abilities.

-Managing food ordering, inventory, purchase orders, quality, returns and accurate invoices from vendors

-Hiring, training, mentoring staff members
-Ensuring receivers are accepting only the highest quality product, following food safe procedures, storing all deliveries properly, and communicating with vendors when delivery issues arise
-Building strong relationships with food vendors and constantly ensuring price competitiveness of all purchases
Responsibilities of the position include:
-Sourcing new products and vendors as requested by management
-Costing all menu items and maintaining target food costs
-Working with accounting department to ensure invoices and expenses are correct so that financial reporting is accurate and vendors are paid appropriately
-Collaborating with restaurant management in long-term planning and decision making
-Managing service contracts and kitchen equipment maintenance 
-Updating and printing daily menus in collaboration with General Manager

Located in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles, The Doughroom is a local pizzeria serving craft beer, artisanal wine, and rustic food made with local and seasonal ingredients. 

The Doughroom first opened in July 2013 as a much-needed culinary addition to the growing neighborhood. The restaurant's interior is modern yet approachable, making it the perfect go-to spot for local students, families, and craft beer enthusiasts.
