We are a small family owned company in West Hollywood, CA seeking someone to join us as a full time team member.
You must possess what has traditionally been considered an excellent work ethic. This is an exceptional opportunity for solid long-term employment in a very stable company. Although not required, familiarity with the plumbing industry or related field is a plus.
We are seeking someone who can work with the business owner to implement and then maintain with exceptional precision, a new internal inventory system as well as provide other operational support. Specifically the position involves maintaining a spotless physical inventory and keeping field rep trucks stocked appropriately.
You will also interface with supply vendors to order and receive all stock inventory, as well as handle all special orders and expedite delivery of parts to the main office in advance of the parts being needed on a job.
Additionally, you should be personable and flexible enough to deal well with all field reps as well as office personnel, and have a special skill for coordinating between peoples' varying schedules, ideas, and requirements.
Fourth, you will assist the job coordinator with expediting other aspects of jobs on a daily basis.
Lastly, you will oversee all management of our facilities, maintaining organization and cleanliness.
In order to be successful at this job, you must be an exceptional thinker, know how to problem solve issues on the spot, and have exceptional organizational skills. If you secretly take a special thrill in organizing things almost to perfection, but you're afraid to let people know how "this short" of obsessive you are with structure, discipline and organization, this may be the right job for you.
While some times will be more relaxed and operate smoothly, the pace of things can quickly change and your day will become busy, and perhaps chaotic for a while, so you must work well under pressure, be able to multi-task, and be able to maintain a high level of both professionalism and proficiency.
An exceptional understanding and use of the English language is paramount and at least a conversational ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not required.
You must be able to easily lift and carry items up to 30 pounds. Although this will not be a needed often, it will come up, and you will need to have the physical strength, health and ability to do this.
Initial compensation will be commensurate with your experience with increases possible as you master the job and demonstrate your ability to take on a bigger role and improve your value to the company.
You are welcome to submit a resume, but we are more interested in a narrative response whereby you cite specifics as to why you would be a good fit with the description of the job. Submissions of a resume without a short but cogent narrative will not be considered or even reviewed.
While past experience and the qualities listed above are required, we are most interested in a competent, well-rounded, "can-do" person who will be a good addition to our team.
