The kitchen staff is involved with every facet of food preparation, as well as the final presentation as it is to be delivered to the guest. The food runner/expo is the kitchen team member that is responsible for final presentation examination of each tray of food before it leaves the kitchen. It is their responsibility to deliver well presented, quality food dishes to each station. The dishwashers must work cohesively, speedily and carefully to ensure clean and sanitary dishes for all food/beverage items that our guests consume from. It is easy to see the importance of the kitchen staff, food runners and dishwashers.
The kitchen staff and dishwashers must hold the highest standards for food and dish preparation, presentation and cleanliness. The kitchen is truly the heart of the house and cleanliness, organization, teamwork and precision are key to success in our high efficiency kitchen. All members of this department are paid hourly by the restaurant.
Must possess the ability to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs as needed while carrying objects and/or bus-tubs sometimes weighing in excess of 40 pounds. The stairs are winding and long but each staircase possesses handrails for employee safety. Use them! If you become injured or unable to adhere to our standards and inherent job duties of said position for any reason you will be reassigned to another position.
Requirements: Restaurant experienced preferred, teamwork oriented, calm under pressure, takes direction well, reliable, strong sense of urgency and efficiency.
