The main functions of this role are to perform routine accounting operations including but not limited to: A/P, billing, bank reconciliations, filing, journal entries, communication with vendors, oversee invoices, daily inventory, etc. The candidate must know how to use QuickBooks, be a quick learner, a self-motivator, hard worker, good integrity, communicative, responsible and assertive but friendly in order to accomplish tasks. The right candidate embraces and works well with technology.

Daily Duties

  • Processing accounts payable in a timely manner
  • Month-end financial preparation, including journal entries, account and bank reconciliations
  • Create monthly financial reports, statements and prepare an analysis of accounts as needed
  • Handle budget preparations for projections on next fiscal year
  • Input new vendors in our system, upon receiving initial back-up information from vendors
  • Create weekly and monthly financial reports, statements and prepare an analysis of accounts as needed
  • Ability to review budget vs. actual expenses for ED and pinpoint any significant variances
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills will be needed to successfully manage the day to day tasks
  • Ability to process payroll, relevant experience in the financial field is a plus.

Required Skills and Experience / Equivalent

  • Minimum 2-3 years of related QuickBooks experience
  • Knowledge of common bookkeeping procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills required
  • Must possess high attention to detail and accuracy of data entry
  • Strong ability to communicate and facilitate with vendors, clients, salesmen, and management
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to present information and respond to questions from the company president, clients, and staff
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills will be needed to successfully manage the day to day tasks
  • MUST be professional in demeanor
  • MUST have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
  • Strong writing skills for financial memos
