Job Summary: Take orders and process payments. Make and serve various drinks, including but not limited to coffee/espresso beverages, as well as portioning out antipasto salads and pastries.
Interact with customers and other employees in a friendly, courteous manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare beverages for customers using standard measures and recipes.
Enter orders accurately into POS device; accept cash and charge payments.
Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area. Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils. Ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
Keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
Greet customers courteously and interact in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
Relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
Serve customers quickly and efficiently, and prevent delays in serving lines.
Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers.
Serve as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process.
Ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards.
Serve food neatly and attractively per standard.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements for employment:
Valid driver’s license or state ID
Be authorized to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation
Must have at least 1 year restaurant/culinary experience
Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively within a team
Strong attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Continuous use of hands and arms Continuous bending, reaching and twisting
Must be SERVESAFE Certified/Food Handler Certified
Bi-lingual is a plus
