Position:      Lobby Host(ess) / Lobby Ambassador                

Department: Guest Services                                                                

Division:      Rooms

Position Purpose: Greet and engage with guests at hotel curbside and in the lobby, which includes but not limited to: opening doors, directing guests to the front desk to check in, engaging guests in conversation, providing suggestions about hotel happenings and local attractions

Essential Functions:

  • Review upcoming VIPs and general occupancy of the hotel
  • Remain knowledgeable about hotel happenings, movies, seasonal programming, TFY/Lobby/TFYTG menus and specials, marketing/media alerts and highlights, Store products knowledge, hotel partners, special events, and local attractions/events
  • Provide guests with insightful and knowledgeable information – assist guests with requests and inquiries
  • Engage guests in conversation – hotel lobby ambassador
  • Introduce guests to front desk for check in
  • Assist with coordinating tasks with front desk, valet and guest services
  • Assist guests with Food and Beverage service when needed/in support of Lobby Bar staff.
  • Keep hotel’s driveway and lobby clean
  • Uphold and maintain lobby etiquette
  • Remain posted in lobby and front drive
  • Monitor the hotel lobby and entrance for any suspicious activity
  • As necessary, assist guests with their luggage
  • Partially escort guests to their specific points of interest, hotel activities, amenities
  • Maintain efficient communication with front desk, valet and guest services
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager 

Position Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrates proper time management
  • Professional attitude and service oriented
  • Education/Experience:
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Ability to speak English, a second language is an asset.
