The Front Office Supervisor is a hands on member of the Front Office team. Working shifts at the Desk, this position sets the tone for Guest and Employee interaction in a positive and motivating way. * Brings a super positive energy and really dynamic personality to the Front Office and Hotel team. * Greets and completes established check-in procedures and check-out procedures for arriving guests on a daily basis. * Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations, both in person and by telephone, by accurately communicating hotel rates and information and by using suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue. * Maintains good customer relations by knowing all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses in person and on the telephone. * Handling guest challenges and following up with Guests and Management. * Proactively anticipating guest needs and special requests. * Ensure all staff is consistently welcoming/acknowledging to one and all that pass. * Handling guest challenges and following up! * Acknowledge all guests waiting and ensuring staff is doing the same. * Providing and making sure agents are communicating options for guest needs. * Able to perform on the spot correcting and praising. * Able to make sound decisions. * Controls and monitors adjustments. * Participates in FO monthly department meetings and provides topics for department agendas.
* Provides and trains weekly training topic. * Ensure all supervisor and agent shift duties are completed. * Work with management and staff to generate ideas to further enhance front office operations. * Monitor credit checks and ensure all guests have sufficient funds. * Ensure routing, groups and 3rd party billing is set up correctly. * Controlling, closing and monitoring all PM and PX accounts-including communication between front desk, reservations, accounting and the night audit. * Checking and correcting rate variances. * Ensuring PBX, Valet and Front Desk are aware of daily events and group information. * Able to balance the house.
