FT Kitchen Prep/Deli Team Member Positions

Evening. Monday through Friday 1pm-9pm.
Must be able to work weekends if requested.
Pay $14 to $16 per hour depending on experience.
Kitchen Prep Team Members are an extension of the Kitchen Lead. Kitchen Team Members are responsible for ensuring GROW's values are effectively carried out in the kitchen, making GROW the kind of place our customers want to shop again and again.
Aid and participate in food preparation for:
1) GROW DTLA’s Service Deli, Grab & Go, Prepared Food, Made-To-Order Sandwiches, Hot Foods and Catering Program.
2) GROW South Bay’s Service Deli, Grab & Go, Prepared Foods and Catering Program.
-Follow recipes and Kitchen Operations Manual to ensure quality and consistency of product.
-Ensure health and sanitation guidelines are being met by all other Kitchen Team Members.
-Ensure kitchen is kept clean, tidy, stocked and is operating in accordance to all health and sanitation guidelines.
-Prep and assemble catering orders as detailed by the Deli Lead and/or Kitchen Lead.
-Lead by example and train new Team Members according to the Kitchen Operations Manual.
-2-3 Years cooking or prep experience in a professional/commercial kitchen (restaurant, catering, commissary).
-Current Food Safety Certificate on file.
-Strong, considerate and constructive communicator.

-Willingness to go beyond what's expected.
-Pride and ownership in your work.
-Ability to lift 50 lbs., multiple times throughout the course of a work day.
GROW is a locally owned and operated independent neighborhood market that has opened its second location in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. GROW DTLA has a full kitchen, service deli & made to order sandwich operation.
