Paligroup Management is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales based in Los Angeles. The Director of Sales will be responsible for day-to-day sales and guest room reservations requests, with a focus on building long term, repeat and value based customer relationships that enable the achievement of sales objectives.


Experienced hotel sales and reservations professional whose preferred style is hands-on and involved with the key management team members. 

A person who enjoys a fast paced work environment and can respond quickly and smartly. Someone who is comfortable and enjoys staying organized in the midst of being busy. A person who is able to blend an authentic, unique, and personalized service to create unforgettable guest experiences at Paligroup properties. 

Our ideal candidate must be a team player with exceptional organizational and customer service skills. You must love to work within a team while maintaining your individual goals.  This person will need to have a good sense of time management.  Strongest candidates will have a strong understanding of reservations and revenue management along with a strong record of basic leadership.


Direct Sales: develop appointment-oriented sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by departmental budget and marketing plan. Must have experience with corporate business in the creative fields (fashion, design, etc.) that include individual business travel and small groups. 

New Account Development/Key Account Management: Capture competitor's accounts through networking & research in order to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business; continually targets and prospects for new business through telemarketing, individual creativity and innovation. Maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer room night and revenue growth.   

Customer Service: Develop strong customer relations through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction. Develops customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system, including trace dates and references, in order to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.   

Communication: Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communications with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel.   Reporting:  Achieves activity goals as established by management and completes all reports and assignments in an accurate and timely fashion. Prepare sales metrics reports documenting sales calls, outlining opportunities, and identifying new bookings.  

Community & Travel: Actively participate in community and industry organizations and travel where needed for client appointments or trade shows to benefit the collection’s exposure to the community and bottom line. As necessary, attend out-of-town conventions to generate business. 


  • Minimum three years sales experience 
  • Prior hotel experience required 
  • Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.   
  • Must be able to speak clearly and understandably over the telephone. 
  • Great written communication and Telephone Etiquette 
  • Organization 
  • Professionalism 
  • Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet 
  • OPERA experience a plus.
