JOB OVERVIEW

The Guest Sales Associate directly influences guest impressions at Eataly by way of greeting, directing and answering inquiries of our guests on the floor. Reports to the Events and Storytelling Manager.

  • Makes connections with guests, asks questions and listens to shoppers' needs, then gives options and advice to meet those needs and help guests find their favorite products
  • Inspires the customers to buy, celebrates the purchase, creates a lasting positive impression of the Company
  • Creates brand awareness and is a proper Ambassador of the Eat, Shop & Learn philosophy
  • Creates a unique customer experience to increase brand awareness and builds customer loyalty, driving in-store sales
  • Learns the Eataly philosophy and procedures to enhance selling strategies
  • Develops and shares product knowledge with guests by reading current vendor tags and pamphlets, browsing through new products on the shelves and by attending training classes
  • Hosts product sample stations for customers, takes part in retail-driven in-store events
  • Aids guests in creating customized gift boxes upon request
  • Performs personal shopping duties upon request
  • Upholds awareness of current promotional events and sales
  • Maintains good housekeeping standards and stocks shelves as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail experience preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Strong customer service attitude with a welcoming and confident demeanor
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn, retain and share Eataly knowledge
  • Ability to speak and understand Italian preferred
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to 8 hours in length
  • Ability to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to perform sales support functions related to POS procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a hands-on approach to work
  • Strong passion for all things Italian food and beverage related
