Responsible for preparing various kinds of food items, including vegetables, meats, and soups by following a recipe.
Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
Work with team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
Properly measures and portions all food items, complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly.
Utilizes kitchen equipment to prepare food such as: knives, slicers, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc.
