We are currently seeking a throw down KITCHEN MANAGER/pastry chef for our new bakery and confectionery kitchen opening this summer in Woodland Hills.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about baking and confections, a great teacher and mentor, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have extensive experience with  cake building and finishing, wedding cakes, petits fours, pies, tarts, pastries, etc, as well as experience leading a team, and an ability to monitor food & labor costs. Experience in a multi unit company a plus! Experience with chocolate a plus! Friendly and energetic - more pluses!

Training will take place at out Los Angeles location. You must have a car and a valid CA drivers license. You must also have a CA food handlers certificate, a mangers certificate is a plus.

VALERIE CONFECTIONS is a local, family-owned sweet shop, located just South of Silver Lake. We also own and operate VALERIE ECHO PARK, a Bakery & Tea House in Echo Park. Our cafe location serves breakfast and lunch, as well as our pastries, chocolates, cakes, and other specialty items. Our products are also available at select retail partners, both locally and nationally.
