Seeking a Deltek Administrator to support Deltek Applications such as: Vision, T&E and other related modules. This person will be responsible for clearing Deltek ticket backlog as well as resolving future issues while adhering to and improving our response time.

Location: Baltimore, MD

Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • Provision new users and ensure they are properly setup including security roles
  • Participate in the planning, design, documenting, implementing, testing and support of business systems/applications
  • Work closely with Finance, Accounting and Marketing users to understand complex reporting requirements and develop reports in compliance with those requirements
  • Coordinate regular Deltek Vision updates
  • Audit data to determine if there are duplicates or bad data
  • Coordinate with Department Managers to streamline workflows
  • Discuss workflow change requests with business leaders
  • Work with Database and System Administrators along with other technical SMEs to monitor system performance and processing, troubleshoot performance issues, investigate critical system errors, capture traces, and analyze server logs
  • Lead the evaluation, escalation and resolution of defects with the Vision and T&E vendor (Deltek)
  • Collaborate with end users and development team members to understand business requirements and contribute creative ideas and enhancements to the platform
  • Flexible and Willing to Perform Other Tasks as Assigned

Required Technical and Functional Skills (describe 3 to 5 required skills):

  • 5+ years’ experience with Deltek Applications, specifically Vision, serving as a techno-functional expert, administrator or analyst
  • 5+ years of Deltek report building
  • Experience manipulating data for import into Deltek
  • Basic database administration experience and the ability to write queries using SQL
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Required Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or Related
  • 8 years of experience in a similar role without a degree will also be considered

Preferred Experience and Education (Describe 3-5 non-essential but desired qualifications):

  • 2-5 years in accounting or finance preferred
  • 2-5 years in A|E|C services firm preferred
  • Systems Administration certification such as: A+, Security+, Linux+, MCSA, MCP, MCSE and/or Deltek product certification
