The Communications and Public Relations Manager is responsible for managing all media and industry relations, and for cultivating and upholding positive media coverage. The Communications and Public Relations Manager is responsible for the creation, organization, coordination and execution of Eataly Los Angeles’ internal and external public relation strategies, social media strategy and editorial calendar creation and develop a strong community relations strategy with the final goal of acquiring more advanced recognition in the market, promoting products, restaurants and education about Eataly philosophy, establishing leadership throughout the local food industry. The Communications and Public Relations Manager work as an integrated member of our Education and Events, Marketing and Public Relations team.

Reports directly to the Marketing Manager of Eataly Los Angeles and reports functionally to the Head of Public Relations and Social Media for Eataly USA.

  • Establishes processes for creating a steady volume of press releases and media coverage to promote Eataly LA’s main projects, happenings and events, experts, restaurants, products and services

  • Develops new media and influencers contacts within the food industry and works to maintain existing contacts

  • Works together with the Corporate Office on the media buy strategy for Eataly Los Angeles

  • Conducts tours for VIP clients and referrals

  • Furnishes all products for TV appearances and photo shoots

  • Produces all store-related Social Media content with the goal to grow the Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts: creation of copy and images, creation of a weekly editorial strategy, daily community management

  • Fields all charity and donation requests and facilitates contributions

  • Creates articles related to the happenings of Eataly Los Angeles to be published in the dedicated section on the Eataly website

  • Owns the community relations project: creates strong relationships with offices, associations, etc. that are based around the store, creates a strong and customizable strategy depending on the project that Eataly Los Angeles is launching

  • Supports the Marketing Manager in creating and executing a Community relations strategy, partnering with offices, associations and other local organizations

  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications

  • 4-5+ years of progressively more responsible Communications, PR & Social Media experience

  • Strong knowledge of and contacts in the food industry in Los Angeles

  • Previous experience and knowledge of earned and paid media landscape with traditional advertising and influencers in LA

  • Business management and budgeting skills

  • Strong and professional writing skills, proactive attitude, team-worker and able to work independently

  • Advanced understanding of social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

  • Ability to communicate via phone or e-mail with industry leaders

  • Fluency in Italian language preferred
