Our Tap Room in Laguna Beach is looking for individuals that want to join our Kitchen Team and deliver great food to pair with our great beer!
We have a small kitchen that delivers a simple menu that's delicious and compliments the vibe and atmosphere of our Tap Room in Laguna Canyon.

Summary: Accurately and efficiently cook and prepare all menu items and recipes according to specifications and standards as set by and upheld by management and staff. Utilize all systems provided and follow all guidelines and recipes to the best of your abilities. Be positive and create a positive environment to create great food. Use your best judgment at all times.
Broad Scope of Job
- Assist with placing orders with various vendors.
- Receiving orders and placing in proper storage areas
- Prepping products and stocking for service
- Cooking and fulfilling orders for the tap room
- Cleaning and maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen
- Assisting with dishwashing in various times throughout the day/week
- Assist with new menu ideas and creation of weekly specials
- Assist with on-site and off-site events
- Assisting with compliance of safe and healthy kitchen
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Ensure that all food is consistently prepared according to recipes, spec sheets, portioning and cooking standards. If you don't know ask.
-Ensure proper food handling; cooking temperatures, food storage, labeling procedures, and waste control.
-Follows proper plate presentation and garnishing for all dishes
-Knows and consistently complies with standard portion sizes, cooking method, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
-Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
-Handles, stores and rotates all products properly according to F.I.F.O
-Maintain safe, secure and healthy environment by following sanitation standards and procedures; and complying with federal/state/local regulations
-Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products executed and mise en place.
-Assists in food prep and dish duties during off-peak periods as needed (TEAM WORK!)
-Opens and closes the kitchen properly and follows the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening & closing duties to ensure a proper opening and sufficient closing.
-Follow state and federal regulated timekeeping. (i.e. Unpaid 30 minute lunch break before your fifth hour worked)
-Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Manager-on-Duty
-A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a kitchen
-At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity; food preparation and cooking
-Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
-Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
-Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
