What’s Sticky’s?
Sticky’s Finger Joint began out of a love for chicken fingers, and the desire to think outside the box for a how a restaurant could serve them. The founders of Sticky’s thought there were a lot of New Yorkers who really loved chicken fingers but didn’t have a great place to get them. We also realized that there were endless flavors of dipping sauces that could pair well with a great chicken finger. And thus, Sticky’s was born! The first location opened on March 22nd, 2012 on West 8th Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan.

From the jump, Sticky’s was all about thinking creatively, and doing things differently than others. We launched with over 25 homemade dipping sauces on the menu, inspired by cuisines from around the world. We found local graffiti artists to put up original murals on the walls. We played energetic music and kept serving chicken ‘til the wee hours of the night. We hired people from all different backgrounds and wanted to make everyone feel at home when they were in the store.

Position Purpose
Sticky’s is seeking an Office Administrator to join our team! The Office Administrator is a new, part-time position responsible for overall office administration and operations. The Office Administrator will work approximately 20 hours a week out of our corporate office in Midtown, but some travel throughout the metro area to our stores will occur semi-regularly. We are looking for someone who is passionate and eager to grow within the administration sector of the hospitality industry. This position will provide exposure to multiple areas of the business, including accounting, administration, and restaurant operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Office Administration:

  • Own the mail collection for the company, ensuring mail is being received from stores and being distributed to the correct staff member/contact
  • Order office and store supplies
  • Take ownership of office organization and cleaning/cleaning delegation, ensuring office is in pristine condition and all office materials are organized and easy to find
  • Organize Company’s Google Drive folders, archiving outdated information and sharing folders with the correct staff members/contacts
  • Assist the senior leadership team with e-mail communication and inbox organization
  • Manage swag inventory and organization, and work with Marketing team on swag ideas and ordering
  • Assist the Operations Department with errands and delivery throughout all Sticky’s locations

Finance:

  • Scan and file paperwork for accounting, digitizing all paperwork
  • Contact vendors for outstanding invoices
  • Assist with preparing and mailing out checks to vendors
  • Audit W-9’s on file and take lead on collecting and organizing new W-9’s
  • Manage chargebacks for website and POS, and send out chargeback reports
  • Investigate unknown charges in POS

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Be passionate about Sticky’s food and culture and have a strong desire to create exceptional moments
  • Strong organizational, planning, prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different departments throughout the business
  • Knowledge of Toast POS (point of sale) and Restaurant 365 preferred, but not required
