We are on the hunt for the next Accounting Extraordinaire to join Fresh Brothers.  Ideally you have restaurant for food manufacturing experience and can navigate around the costing world quite comfortably. 

You should be someone who loves traditional accounting work as well as assessing the work flow and seeing how you make things more efficient.  You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and grow within the organization.


  • COGS analysis at store level drilling down on pricing variances vs usage variances
  • Working with operations on labor matrix analysis – forecast to actual
  • Maintains balance sheet account recs
  • Ensures timely closing process with all accompanying journals up through issuance of financial statements
  • Works with key finance team members to prepare, issue and analyze financial statements as necessary
  • Analyze store P&L’s
  • Handles daily accounting
  • Reconciles daily cash receipts from POS system and bank records
  • Supports budgeting and forecasting efforts
  • Assists in development of new procedures as outsourced accounting function is migrated in house
  • Becomes familiar with all platforms used (Ctuit, R365 and any other company software applications)
  • Prepares credit card reconciliations on monthly basis
  • Files 1099’s on annual basis and ensures vendor database is properly maintained for compliance purposes
  • Maintains sales tax files and files timely as needed
  • Supports YE audit and tax work as needed
  • Recommends improvements or changes to processes based on best of business practices and accounting in conformity with GAAP
  • Supports compliance related filings (ie business licenses, permits, census)
  • Track material costs by store level investigating variances on weekly and monthly level with ability to roll forward for budget and commentary purposes


  • GAAP
  • Budget building and tracking
  • Financial analysis (including cost accounting) used to tracking labor and material variances
  • Restaurant / Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ctuit or other BI reporting tool experience preferred
  • Restaurant 365 software ideal


BS or higher in Accounting or Finance

5 years of accounting experience working in staff accountant and higher roles (should be at least 2 years as senior accountant)

Advanced excel skills -ability to data dump and create dashboards for presentations when necessary


Language:  Fluent English communication skills are required.
