Join #TheAbsoluteWurst Team! Dog Haus West Covina is seeking hard working, energetic individuals for all kitchen positions including:
- Grill Cook
- Fry cook
- Prep cook
We highly value dependable, individuals who are willing to learn. You must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, yet fun environment. This is a corporate training store; you should enjoy teaching and coaching others.
Applicants must be 18 years or older.
The primary responsibility of a Line Cook is to prepare meals quickly, efficient and accurately.
As such you will be required to:
- Prepare all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
- Operate and maintain cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and griddles.
- Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
- Clean food preparation area, equipment, utensils, and dishes.
- Maintain Dog Haus standards for food production and handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation and safety.
- Assist in training new personnel in proper procedures and guidelines.
- A flexible schedule, filling in as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Weekend availability.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certification and understand and follow OSHA and HACCP compliance standards.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat and reach above shoulder level.
- Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to extreme cold/hot temperatures.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
