We are launching a small, elegant and unique dumpling concept, featuring the flavors and textures of cuisines from around the world, all delivered in traditional dumpling parcels. While the doughs will be original in taste and feel, the fillings and accompanying sauces and toppings are both traditional but elevated, and at times somewhat wild and crazy (think Reuben Egg Roll, cheeseburger potstickers and French onion soup dumplings). We are experienced restaurateurs (over 30 years) and will pledge to deliver quality and flavor in every bite using fresh, healthy ingredients. There is no place like My Little Dumpling in Los Angeles and you have an opportunity to be an important cog in the excitement surrounding this first location, with the promise of growth should we all do our jobs.
Responsibilities will include menu finalization, systems organization, hiring and training kitchen staff, preparing for opening and all activities related to establishing a well organized and smooth running kitchen. Head chef will oversee kitchen staff of about 8 people and be responsible for managing kitchen activities and coordinating with front of house. Prefer that applicant have at least 5 years of upscale kitchen experience, preferably a degree in culinary arts along with creative abilities, attention to detail and good people skills.
