Job Title: Finance Manager

Status: Full Time, Exempt 

Reports to: COO/CAO

Position Summary: The Finance Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of financial data and oversight of the correct accounting/booking performed by the accounting team. The Finance Manager will track and allocate expenses in-line with company policies and GAAP requirements, ensure revenues and deposits are accounted for appropriately, and perform additional duties to facilitate accurate accounting and reporting. The Finance Manager will support both Operations and Administrative departments through excellent communication skills and clear reporting; overseeing staff to ensure execution of timely month-end closing, financial reporting and FP&A activities as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Booking daily transactions according to company chart of accounts as expenses are incurred through company systems, manual invoices, and bank interfaces; AP/AR/Payroll

2. Management of the processing, payment, and record-keeping of expense accounts and reimbursements

3. Maintaining schedule of, and executing manual journal entries and adjustments as needed

4. Completing daily bank reconciliations for cash and credit card deposits of active venues and corporate transactions; overseeing the reconciliations performed by others

5. Ensuring all transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP

6. Tax preparation assistance

7. Project accounting including recording the transfer of project costs into fixed asset accounts

8. Overseeing generation of monthly financials for unit-level and corporate cost centers/month-end close process.  Includes variance analysis reconciliations (and related supporting schedules), rolling forecast, and expense reporting

9. Performing forward-looking analysis and forecasting Maintaining company recordsOther duties as required by the business

Qualifications/Skills and KnowledgeRequirements:


1. Minimum 4+ years of progressive general accounting experience

2. Hands-on GL experience

3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people

4. Proficient Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTable, Macros, etc. beneficial)

5. SAP experience preferred

6. Experience managing others preferred

7. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting desirable

8. Food and Beverage and/or multi-unit retail-related industry experience desirable
