PM GRILL COOK

The PM Grill Cook is responsible for the following
*Ensuring the grill station is completely set for dinner service and back up as necessary while still servicing tickets.
*Knowing exactly how much of all proteins are available and keeping the lead cook informed.
*Cooking all proteins for dinner service correctly and to proper degree of doneness and temperature.
*Working with the lead cook to finish all food in a timely manner with food coming from other stations.
*Must be able to keep track of lots of items all cooking at the same time and plate accordingly.
*Must have good multitasking and organizational skills.
*Label and date all prepared products as well as rotate to ensure freshness and quality.
*Keeping the entire kitchen sanitary at all times and following all food safety guidelines.
*Proper understanding and operation of all preparation and cooking equipment.
*Communicate well with all staff members – both verbal and written.
*Taking care of all customers’ needs as well as understanding any dietary restrictions and allergies.
*Constant cutting, slicing, mixing, and cooking of products.
*Able to spend 8 or more hours in extremely warm conditions.
*Able to recognize fumes and odors and take action immediately.
*Taking the initiative to expand on new skills for personal development and advancement.
California Food Handlers card.
Culinary school student or graduate is preferred.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not a requirement.
Minimum 5 years overall high-volume kitchen experience.
Minimum 2 years high-volume kitchen experience as Grill cook.
