Overview: Assist in Managing and directing all staff in the parking department.
Job responsibilities: Ensure an organized and safe entrance and exit of vehicles from club lot. Oversee full operation of parking lot including guest and member check-in desk, address and resolve member and guest entrance issues, and parking-related issues and inform management. Valet Supervisor oversees valet attendants and other staff that perform valet services. Create and coordinate work schedules, assign posting positions, handle requests for valet service and train subordinates on venue features and services. Other duties include ensuring the parking desk and entrance are presentable; collecting and submitting time sheets; conducting performance reviews; and ensuring that valet equipment and supplies are working properly. Inventory of all parking supplies and equipment.
Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience in guest service or security-related position. Clean driving record (Class C) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Great interpersonal skills. Attention to detail.
Considerations: Professionals who work in valet services should be in good physical health, as some positions require candidates to walk and stand for long periods of time, as well as push, pull, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. In addition, valet supervisors may be required to work outside in rain or other unfavorable weather conditions. Employer will screen by conducting pre-employment background check.
Work Environment: Large busy events, such as parties and weddings, create crowds near the entrance and around the venue. Valet professionals must remain calm, alert, pleasant and professional even when dealing with angry or inpatient guests. In addition, some valet professionals may be required to work late night or early morning shifts.
