A sleep technologist is able to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. The sleep technologist is able to perform the duties defined for a sleep technician and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff, specifically those with lesser credentials (Polysomnographic Technician and Polysomnographic Trainees). The sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology.
*Under the indirect oversight of the supervisory physician and General Manager/Technical Director, the overnight technologist performs independent comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis.*Provides clinical patient care and education to facilitate diagnosis of sleep disorders.*Configures full electrode application for clinical diagnostics and therapeutic titration settings. *Remains flexible to changing systems and is able to adapt to industry/patient challenges while delivering unparalleled customer service and quality outcomes.*Candidate must have strong computer hardware and software skills.
- RPSGT credential AND a MBOC Technologist Polysomnography License
- OR RCP License with CRT or RRT credential with Prior training and proficiency in sleep studies
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card and CPR card
- Experience performing sleep studies preferred but not required
Average earnings ranging from $22.67 per hour to $32.00 per hour based on experience.
