Customer Service Representative- Call Center

  • Triaging and transferring inbound calls
  • Assist patients to facilitate scheduling of sleep services in a call center setting
  • Sell patients on the value of diagnosing and treating potential sleep disorders; explain the medical procedure and answer technical and logistical questions
  • Communicate patient and insurance billing process to ensure that patient understands his/her financial responsibility
  • Collect payment or make payment arrangements
  • Communicate with technical staff to facilitate completion of studies and address issues with facilities and equipment
  • Confirm appointments and details to reduce appointment no-shows
  • Communicate with staff to ensure that patients are contacted and provided timely and relevant information about their referral and insurance coverage.
  • Responsible for high volume of patient tasks and regularly documented follow up to ensure highest scheduling and completion rates to meet monthly goals
  • Communicate patient status to referring physicians, office staff, and sales representatives


  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Detail-oriented, strong attention to detail, organized
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent phone skills (experience speaking with patients, payers and physician offices)
  • Computer skills: Excel, Outlook, ability to learn new software/database
  • Understanding of medical terminology, medical insurances and physician office processes/protocol
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
