We're looking for a dedicated Training and Development Manager to help our supervisors at California Chicken Cafe be not just great managers, but great leaders. California Chicken Cafe is a growing quick-service restaurant serving the San Fernando Valley and West LA area that serves juicy rotisserie chicken, delicious wraps, and filling salads. 

General Description: Responsible for devising the company's training strategies, overseeing its implementation and assessing its outcomes. They are also responsible for identifying training and developmental needs and driving training initiatives that build loyalty

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation, guidance, coaching and mentoring to drive effectiveness of store Supervisory staff
  • Collaborate with Operations and other funtional departments to facilitate initiatives, programs and development opportunities focused on increasing retention, improving service, hospitality, food quality and overal execution
  • Work with District Managers, Human Resources and Operations/Training Manager to ensure restaurant Managers are actively developing teams within the restaurants
  • Conduct in-field training to advance manager knowledge and skillset
  • Track and anaylze talent development trends, diagnose root causes and develop recommendations for innovative talent development strategies
  • Evaluate current training programs
  • Travel to all CCC locations for one-on-one coaching and development with store supervisors and Manager-In-Training (MIT) trainees
  • Assist in rolling out new initiatives as needed
  • Work with Operations/Manager to develop training aids and assessments for staff
  • Creates, develops and conducts training classes and ensures successful implementation of training content and other initiatives
  • Conducts needs assessments for both staff productivity and leadership development
  • Develops, implements and maintains a Management Orientation Program to introduce new managers to the expected leadership behaviors and management skills
  • Facilitates the delivery of training programs
  • Develops and maintains the annual Training Calendar
  • Tracks key business indicators to determine the effectiveness of current training and development programs
  • Measures the effectiveness of training to ensure a return on investment
  • Manages program development and implementation prioritization and communication strategy
  • Partners with the Leadership Team to determine the develoment needs in the organization
  • Coaches Managers to enhance own performance and to improve the performance of others
