We are a small, upscale restaurant in Pacific Palisades looking for a full time Chef to work under the supervision of the GM and restaurant owners. Responsibilities will include: ordering products, scheduling of kitchen staff, inventory, receiving, daily prep, executing specials, working various stations and expediting the line.
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic candidate with at least 2 years experience in a kitchen management position. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively, motivate staff and work well under pressure or during demanding periods. The Sous Chef will work with the Chef to create and develop additional menu items. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and demonstrates exceptional customer service and high quality control.
Additional Candidate requirements include:
*Strong interpersonal, decision making and organizational skills.
*Competence in Excel and Word and familiar with a POS system.
*Ability to ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen and maintenance of all equipment.
*Availability at least 5 days per week.
*Capacity to lift boxes up to 50lbs and to stand for long periods of time.
