Keeps all equipment, public areas and rooms in good repair with a minimum of downtime, by providing day-to-day maintenance of the Hotel under direction of the Chief Engineer and the Engineering Supervisor. In addition, will continually support and improve engineering services.


Basic skills in the following categories:
*Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing
*Kitchen Equipment
*Possess flexibility and balance enough to sit, stand, walk, squat, crawl and climb.
*Able to reach overhead, forward and lateral.
*Able to lift, grip, carry, push and pull heavy items. Must be able to lift at least 120lbs and have 30lbs of force to turn valves.
*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
*Endure exposure to noise, varying temperature, and chemicals, all with proper protective gear.

*Responsible for the general maintenance of the hotel and surrounding property, including, guest rooms, pool area, lobby, kitchen, restaurant, garage, employee areas, restrooms, lounge and executive offices.
*Minor troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC and aesthetic issues.
*Discern and resolve potentially hazardous situations.
*Always adhere strictly to the use of the Work Request System as outlined by the Chief Engineer
*Use and understanding of Right To Know and Lock Out Tag Out Policy and Procedure
*Communicate with Front Desk and Housekeeping regarding guest room repairs and/or special requests.
* Respond to service calls in a timely and efficient manner.
*Effectively communicate and report any vital information with the Engineering team through the department log.
*Respond appropriately and take an Engineering role in any emergency situations involving the hotel and its guests and staff.
*Posses a working knowledge of Fire Alarm systems and equipment.
*Project a professional, friendly and courteous image and recite any pertinent hotel information to guests and patrons.
*Be proactive and productive without constant supervision.
*Maintain assigned tool pouch and see that all tools used are returned to the shop and secured in proper storage.
*Strives to become an independent mechanic, able to analyze problems and to formulate plans to get work done quickly.
